When I found out that the Langney Community Centre Cafe were offering free lunches to local children who might otherwise go hungry I got in contact with Helen to see how we could help.
We provided items for the lunches such as bread, ham, cheese, fruit, cartons of orange juice, lunch biscuits and crisps. But it worried me that some parents may also be sacrificing their own needs in order to make sure their children have what they need so we donated additional biscuits, longlife milk and tea bags so they too could be offered to anyone in need. I'm so grateful that Asda and the Asda Foundation allowed an additional budget to ensure no child goes hungry this half term.
