We are proud and delighted to have been able to support Selkirk Rugby Clubs 'Cycling Soutars' in their upcoming bike ride fundraising for the 'My Name'5 Doddie Foundation' with a donation of 240 bottles of water.
The team of cyclists will be joining the 120 other cyclists participating in the event which aims to deliver the match ball from Murrayfield stadium Edinburgh to the Principality Stadium in Cardiff within 2 days in time for the Doddie Weir Cup rugby International between Wales and Scotland on 12th February. Doddie Weir is an ex rugby player playing for local team Melrose RFC, among others, before going on to play for Scotland. He announced in June 2017 that he has Motor Neurone Disease and went on to set up his foundation which raises funds for research and to provide grants to those living with the disease.
