I've donated 650 face masks to our local care home Fern Brook Lodge, in Gillingham, North Dorset. Under normal circumstances I go to the care home every Friday and help with activities with the residents alongside the once a month dementia friendly cafe that I help facilitate.
It was a clear choice for the donation as we have such a close bond, especially with the activities ladies in this photo, Jan and Julia – the lead and assistant activity coordinator's in the home.
I really miss going to Fern Brook residential and dementia care home as I always come away feeling like I've made a difference to the residents. I can't wait until I'm able to resume our weekly activities.
