I am often asked by groups if I can help then by letting them know what local food banks are looking for.
I was contacted by Lin Gell from Team Scrubbers who wanted to purchase £120 of goods for the not for profit group Crisis Food. With a quick call to Charlotte I found out what else they needed then got all the food together and all Lin needed to do was come in to pay and collect the goods. I’ve done this for a few groups now and it’s a great way to help when we can’t go to the groups ourselves. Lin was really impressed and couldn’t believe how much food she was able to collect.
