Lin, from Team Scrubbers, put out an appeal for white fabric to help her and her team keep up with the demand for face masks.
I was delighted to be able to use our community budget to help her with this. Lin along with her talented team have been sewing masks non stop. These are given to the community for free which is just amazing. I have been really proud to be able to put my sewing machine to good use and help them too. With the new guidelines now even more people are going to be needing them. The masks are free, however some people have been very keen to make a donation. This money has been used to purchase fabric and elastic and any surplus funds have been used to buy food for local not for profit group Crisis For Food. Well done Lin you are truly a real inspiration and a champion of our community!
