Wow, Gomer Junior School, what wonderful bakers you are! Bakers took part in Zoom cooking sessions with most of the children logging in from home.
The children made a mixture of breads and got to taste some different baked goods. We then learned about where different types of bread originated from and talked about how the texture if the breads and how yeast works. Team Gomer definitely had a firm favourite with brioche getting the most thumbs up from the children.
Over 50 children took part in the sessions and I was really impressed with how amazing their breads all looked. Thank you for sharing your photos with us. Thanks to community champion Julie from our Totton store for also joining us on the session and helping to demonstrate for us.
