I was delighted to help Leesland School with a donation of 10 laptops as part of our initiative to provide over 7,000 laptops to schools across the UK to help tackle digital exclusion.
Although children have now returned to the classrooms there is still a need for technology to support education activities inside the classroom, homework tasks, learning during the school holidays and to help schools future proof their home learning capabilities. We formed a partnership with technology provider Dell at the start of the year to invest over £2 million so that every Asda store in the UK could donate at least 10 laptops to a local school. Leesland School is very close to our store and I have had the pleasure of supporting them for several years. They were really excited to receive the laptops and really grateful especially since the school also received grants for the infant and junior schools worth £2,000 thanks to the Asda Foundation.
