New warm hub set to launch in Grantham

Thanks to a £2,000 grant awarded by Asda Foundation, St John's Church is set to launch a warm hub in the church hall.

The hub will help local people attend somewhere warm, comfortable and welcoming during the winter months. Father Clay Roundtree said that the hub will launch on the 3rd January, with his team of volunteers looking after those who choose to come along and use the facilities. Included will be hot drinks, games, activities and the chance to socialise with others. The money is to be used to kick start the hub and pay for energy costs through the winter months. By using the facility, it is hoped that local residents will save money on their own energy bills by not having to heat their homes while they attend St John's Hub.
