Here's Stephen who popped into store to receive a cheque for £500 which will go towards replacing a new statue for the Boer War soldier memorial which was stolen from Ward Jackson Park in Hartlepool in 1968.
For over 50 years the memorial's granite plinth recording the names of 23 soldiers who perished in the Boer War in South Africa has stood alone. The replacement statue is being made by North East artist Ray Lonsdale who is known for the famous World War One soldier Tommy at Seaham Harbour.
