There was a large house fire near to the store which spread and caused to damage to 4four houses in total. Luckily no one was injured.
There has been a huge community response to this dreadful event and we were fortunate to be able to help from the store too. I managed to secure an Asda Foundation Emergency Grant and, by liaising with the local school who have been a point of contact for donations, we found out that they desperately needed cleaning equipment. We provided storage boxes for items that can be saved, cleaning products and equipment.
