Pupils from Glenwood School enjoyed some valuable work experience when they joined us at our store for some checkout training and also replenished the shelves.
The school is a specialist secondary school for pupils who require a personalised curriculum to meet their moderate learning needs, physical, sensory and language challenges, and who may be on the autism spectrum. They joined us here a couple of months ago for a store tour and they mentioned how they were struggling to find appropriate work experience, so we planned a work experience morning. The pupils left full of enthusiasm about their new experience and we donated some cakes to thank them for all their hard work. It was an absolute delight to have them all in store!
