On behalf of everyone at Asda Hereford I was so happy present Abbeydore with an Asda Foundation Spaces and Places grant of £12,500 as well as an additional £500 from our Green Token Giving customer vote.
The money will be used to repair the lead roof and when I visited the other day it was great to see the works had begun on the tower. I took a tour around of the remains of the abbey and can see how vital it is that these remains are kept for Herefordshire's culture and history. As well as the buildings maintained for continued access for the local community who worship, visit, and enjoy the arts and other events regularly held here. I look forward to following Abbeydore's progress.
