Talented Sandra from Asda Hessle helps NHS

Our wonderful colleague Sandra Casey has been putting her knitting talents to good use to raise £1,500 for the NHS while she's shielding at home during the lockdown.

First she crocheted 200 hats and huddle blankets which she donated to the maternity ward at Hull Royal Infirmary and then she made knitted hearts for Covid-19 patients and their relatives at Castle Hill Hospital. Then she's gone on to make 300 NHS bears which she's sold for a small donation. The store's community champion Lisa says colleagues are all proud of Sandra, who's worked at the store for nearly 20 years. She said: "A massive well done and congratulations on all your hard work Sandra. Your efforts are really making difference!"
