The Asda Foundation awarded In Charley's Memory with £750 towards the cost of furnishing their new suite of counselling rooms!
Our store got cordially invited to the charity's open day in July to celebrate the opening of their eight newly built counselling rooms. These new rooms will enable them to expand their service, offer more student placements and help more young people in our community and the surrounding area.
I was honoured to be given a guided tour by Pauline, Charley's Grandmother who in her retirement volunteers to be their Treasurer. I explained how much her charity means to our store especially our colleagues. We are all overwhelmed by how incredible all their selfless hard work and dedication has made such a massive impact to our town and raised awareness of mental health in young people.
