The students at Southfield School for Girls were delighted with the Dell laptops and tech bundles they received as part of our initiative to provide over 7,000 laptops to schools across the UK to help tackle digital exclusion.
While children returned to the classrooms ahead of the Easter holiday, there is still a need for technology to support education activities inside the classroom, homework tasks, learning during the school holidays and to help schools future proof their home learning capabilities. We formed a partnership with technology provider Dell at the start of the year to invest over £2 million so that every Asda store in the UK could donate at least 10 laptops to a local school. Jackie Topple, the family support worker at the school, said: "The laptops will go a long way and be a great help in breaking down digital barriers some students may have with remote learning now and in the future."
