Easter eggs for all

By Johnny Lamas (Asda Plymouth)

Easter eggs were given out at HMS Raleigh thanks to the generosity of families and friends and a donation from Asda Plymouth.

As naval personnel are playing their part in helping the government deal with the coronavirus pandemic, Easter leave at the Royal Navy training base in Cornwall was postponed, meaning that trainees were not able to be reunited with their loved ones as planned. So led by Tanya Wheeler, the families, friends and Operation Care Package got together to make sure every trainee and member of staff did not go without their chocolate egg. HMS Raleigh, in Torpoint, provides a range of training from basic instruction for recruits to specialist courses for more experienced sailors.
