Knitting hearts for Covid-19 patients

By Abbie Whitelaw (Asda Portlethen)

Our Portlethen store's community champion Abbie has been using her knitting skills to make hearts for Covid-19 patients in the intensive care unit at Aberdeen General Infirmary.

She said: "Earlier in the year, before coronavirus took over everything, the ladies at the Men's Shed Craft Group  (and YouTube) taught me how to knit. Since then, I've worked on a few bits and pieces for practice. So when I saw about the knitted hearts for COVID-19 patients, I thought I'd give them a try. I hope that they are okay and that they can help people through this difficult time." Well done Abbie – they look fantastic!
