Donation of outdoor goodies for DMR Services

August 10, 2020

After reaching out to various organisations to offer our support to them, Alison Corkingdale got in touch. Alison is the contact and community services manager for DMR Services, who provide residential care and support for families and children. Alison explained to me that they work with vulnerable families and children ranging in age from 0 to 17 years, in various ways – in contact centres, children's residential homes, and foster care placements, to name a few.

Due to Covid-19, outdoor contact has become extremely important and providing suitable activities is very challenging, so Asda Small Heath was delighted to donate a trolley full of goodies for the children to use in many ways. We have board games, outdoor games including our giant skittles and bubbles, along with arts and craft activities too.

Alison came along with her manager Joe to collect the overflowing trolley. They told me it "will make a massive contribution to putting a smile on the children's faces during these particularly difficult times".

I can't wait to hear the feedback from the children and families!
