A message from South Woodham Ferrers community champion Lisa:
Last week I was sent a letter from the government saying I have to stay at home. I had only just gone back to work after being home for nearly a year with breast and lung cancer.
I was given the all-clear for my breast cancer just before I went back to work and I want you all to know I am thinking of all the people who are making a difference because you are all doing a great job. It’s not easy sitting here every day when all of you are working so hard but I love seeing what you are all up to.
I am not allowed visitors but my personnel manager Paul is coming round to leave some shopping on my doorstep. I will also be getting a parcel from the government but I don’t know what will be in it yet...
I just wanted you all to know that you're doing a great job and I see lots of thank yous from our community on Facebook.
Here's a picture of me last year at Easter and one from this this year – guess which one is which... I still have my sense of humour!
Hope to be back to work with you as soon as I can.
