Kind-hearted Olivia, aged six, makes dozens of handmade cards for care home residents

December 21, 2020

We'd like to say a big thank you and very merry Christmas to kind-hearted six-year-old Olivia, who's been busy making handmade cards for us to pass on to local care home residents.

When I emptied my post box in store I noticed there was a large number of cards from the same little girl. Each card was individual and beautifully made and I really wanted to find out who this little girl was so I could thank her. I put out a plea on a Facebook community page and luckily Olivia’s mum, Rachael, saw it. She contacted me and was thrilled to know that Olivia’s cards were so well received from residents of the Cedars Care Home and Orchid Care Home. She said Olivia had insisted on making more than one card as she was worried that some of the residents might not get many cards this year. We really wanted to say thank you to Olivia so we invited her and her mum and dad into store and presented her with a few little gifts for being so kind and thoughtful and thinking of others in this difficult time.
