Our local Urban Roots – a community led environmental charity – is celebrating after receiving a £400 Healthy Holidays grant from the Asda Foundation.
They run Urban Explorers After School Clubs and Into The Woods holiday programmes in community gardens and woodlands and use the outdoor setting to support children to play and learn outside. They were just so delighted when they were granted just over £400 to provide a hot meal for the children attending their school holiday group in October.
