Laptop donation

Staff and pupils at Hart Plain Junior School were delighted to receive their second allocation of laptops and tech bundles from Asda.

The school received the computers as part of our initiative to provide over 7,000 laptops to schools across the UK to help tackle digital exclusion. Although children have now returned to the classrooms there is still a need for technology to support education activities inside the classroom, homework tasks, learning during the school holidays and to help schools future proof their home learning capabilities. We formed a partnership with technology provider Dell at the start of the year to invest over £2 million so that every Asda store in the UK could donate at least 10 laptops to a local school.

Headteacher Charlotte Faithfull said: "Thank you so much to Asda for supporting our school and the community during these difficult times. These resources will be invaluable in helping our families now and moving forward to access remote education."
