Helping Hounds for Heroes

Hounds for Heroes is a wonderful local charity that provides specially trained assistance dogs to injured and disabled personnel of the UK Armed Forces and Emergency Services. They also fully fund the whole of each dog’s life so there is no financial burden on the person receiving the dog. I recently met up with founder Alan who himself was injured whilst serving in the Royal Navy, and his dog ET, at the Hounds for Heroes headquarters. Whilst there, I learnt more about the charity, watched a training session that was being held for two of the dogs and presented Alan (and ET) with a hamper which will be used to raise much needed funds for Hounds for Heroes.
