Through out July, we are supporting Fight Hunger Create Change charity with a partnership between FareShare and the Trusell Trust.
The charity aims to:
- Provide 24 million meals every year
- Give 500,000 people access to fresh foods every week
- Enable all Asda stores to donate edible surplus foods from stores to local charities and community groups.
A food drive is running in July as food bank visits rise during the summer holidays.
If you are able to donate any food items (not fresh please) that would be fantastic.
A trolley totaliser is present by the food show to see how many trolleys with have donated during this period.
You will see our community board has been updated with further information.
During July we have also donated for our in store budget to Wheatley Park School and Sharing Life in Thame and supporting our Oxfordshire wider community a food bank in Carterton and Brize Norton responding to the coronavirus pandemic.
