We've launched a range of low calorie jelly pots in time for summer
Our new low calorie jelly pots are getting lots of people excited on social media ahead of the summer holidays.
The jelly pots are either zero or one calorie, so they're proving a big hit with slimmers. They're just 47p each and come in strawberry, raspberry, orange or blackcurrant flavours. They're also suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
Lucy is one of the people who's been talking about the jelly pots of social media. She shared this picture of her orange jelly pot with some added squirty cream and said: "I think they’re amazing – really flavoured and tasty! They’re perfect for dieters!"
And Poppy enjoyed our strawberry flavour, saying: "It's so good and will be a staple in my fridge/cupboards from now on!"
Julie Harris-Hughes from our desserts and baking team helped develop the range. She said she loves seeing all the great comments about the range.
"It feels great to know that our customers are loving the work we've done in creating the range," she said. "It takes around seven months of hard work and customer research to launch a new product into an Asda store, so it’s great to know we've done a good job for our customers.
"We wanted to create an alternative snack option with all the flavor of a full sugar jelly but without the calories. They're great for healthy snacking without the guilt of high fat or sugar, plus they're convenient and portable.
"Blackcurrant is my favourite flavour as it's nice and juicy, just like eating the real fruit, and the colour is lovely – such a deep purple!"
Here are some of our favourite pictures that customers have been sharing of the new range:
You can find the jellies in selected stores and online now – and the team are keen to hear what you think of them!
Julie said: "We've started off with some of the most popular flavours as we know they're the top selling flavours in other jellies, but we'd love to add more flavours to the range in the future. If there's a flavour you'd love to see be sure to let us know by tweeting us @asda or commenting on our Facebook post."
