Smiles all round as Pudsey Bear joins our community champions on school visits
Pudsey Bear has been helping our fabulous team of community champions put smiles on lots of faces this week – joining them on visits to schools, hospitals and community groups across the country in support of BBC Children in Need.
Our community champions regularly give their time at local schools and playgroups, and as part of this year's Children in Need appeal they've been bringing Pudsey with them to meet the children and take part in lots of fun activities.
Jo Scott at our Pwllheli store made little Ianto's day when Pudsey joined her on a surprise visit to Cylch Meithrin nursery to say hello and play games with the children.
Jo said: "Ianto loves Pudsey and was over the moon. It was so much fun, and a lovely visit.
"I've helped out with them over the years – we've helped them receive Green Token Giving funding and also donated raffle prizes."
Christine Baldwin, the community champion at our Bolton store, showed nursery pupils at St Matthew's Primary School how to make hedgehog bread when she visited with Pudsey this week.
Christine said: "The school are all dressing up and getting behind raising money for Children in Need."
Our Sutton in Ashfield store's community champion Hayley Carrington joined Pudsey at a local mum and toddler group – and look how excited the children were to meet him!
Hayley said: "The group have benefitted from Green Token Giving funding and I also volunteer with them every week. It was a special moment to see their reaction to Pudsey!"
