Two new gin liqueurs distilled on the shores of Strangford Lough are now available at all 16 of our supermarkets in Northern Ireland.
Jawbox Gin, produced by the Echlinville Distillery in Kircubbin, has introduced two new gin liqueur flavours – Pineapple & Ginger and Rhubarb & Ginger – to join the Jawbox Small Batch line which has been available since 2017.
The family-run Echlinville Distillery, which launched in 2016, now employs more than 20 people in Kircubbin, where the gin is handmade using local botanicals including Belfast Black Mountain heather.
Jawbox founder Gerry White said: "We take great pride in using traditional time-honoured methods to make award-winning brands that are loved and respected by local people. We’re really pleased this is recognised by Asda and are proud to support the supermarket’s drive to ensure great quality, local produce is on offer to its customers.”
Emma Swan, Asda Buying Manager Northern Ireland, said: "The pace of growth in the gin market has been unparalleled and we’re delighted to support the Jawbox team by including these high quality and very distinctive brands on our shelves. We know how much our customers value locally-sourced produce and are confident these new flavours will prove a hit this summer and beyond."
