Colleagues show their support at Pride events across the UK

We're proud to be supporting Pride events across the country this summer – and we're flying the flag for inclusivity by decorating our home office in Leeds city centre.

To celebrate Leeds Pride we're lighting up our home office in the colours of the rainbow, as well as decorating Asda signs in the city with the Pride flag. Colleagues from the office and our stores across Leeds will be at Leeds Pride this weekend, providing a series of stands and games.

Asda colleagues have been showing their support at Pride events throughout the summer.

A total of 37 Asda colleagues from our stores in North West England and North Wales teamed up to celebrate Pride In Liverpool.

Richard Gown, community champion at our Huyton store, shared this photo of some of the group and said: "I was proud to join 36 Asda colleagues who took part in the march at Pride In Liverpool.

"The event is organised by the Liverpool City Region Pride Foundation and is one of Europe's biggest free Pride events. This year was one of the biggest turn outs despite the rain."

Colleagues from our stores in the East Midlands were proud to show their support at Nottingham Pride:

Jon Coutts-Walker, community champion at our Long Eaton store, said: "What a fantastic day we had on Saturday when community champions and stores from around the region joined forces and took part in the parade at Nottingham Pride.

"It was a very rainy day but that didn't stop us celebrating inclusion at Asda and the theme of being you. So, so proud of each and every colleague who took part."

There was a great turn out from our colleagues in the North East at Newcastle Pride. Jackie Burt from our Cramlington store posted this photo:

And Tracey Tough, the community champion at our store in Boldon, shared this photo of colleagues getting into the spirit of things and said: "We're all really proud to be celebrating Pride. We had a brilliant time celebrating on Town Moor. It was such a fantastic event. Thanks to everyone who supported it."

Jane Entwistle, the community champion at our Newton Abbot store, posted these photos of colleagues showing their support on Facebook:

I am so proud to be working with such an amazing group of colleagues. We have had so much fun celebrating Pride. There was a great buzz and atmosphere across the whole store. – Jane, Asda community champion
