Five of our fabulous community champions from the West London area joined forces to help decorate St Luke's School in Redbourn.

The Special Educational Needs school was in need of a makeover but the maintenance team didn't have the resources to paint every room and so volunteers pitched in to help - including Bev, Sam, Laura, Courtney and Tracy from our stores in Watford, Hayes, South Ruislip, Collindale and High Wycombe.

They did a great job - despite it being one of the hottest days of the year!

Bev said: "It was so hot, but we all had a bit of a laugh singing along as we worked!"

She received a nice thank you letter from Rhea Dickman at the school thanking the colleagues for all their hard work, saying "We are sure all our children will be over the moon in September when they return".

Bev also recently hosted a group of children from St Luke's sister school, The Collett School in Hemel Hempstead, at Asda Watford for a VIP store tour.

"They really enjoyed it," said Bev. "I think we almost had four more new recruits as delivery drivers – they loved their tour with the home shopping team! They also tried sushi at the Sushi Daily cafe here, and sampled freshly-made pancakes from our bakery."
