I've worked closely with a team of eight very talented designers to create some gorgeous festive home ranges this year. I personally love developing Christmas lines as it’s my favourite time of year, where we have lots of fun with novelty products!
Christmas is full-on in my house as I have a four-year-old daughter and a large family with lots of nieces and nephews. It’s Christmas in every room with brushed cotton bedding, mugs, cushions, decorations and festive fragrances. There's also lots of baking and cooking which is a big part of the holidays for me.
I have to have more than one tree as I’m so indecisive! I love classic Christmas with all the cosy reds, greens and golds, but I also love a more contemporary look.
This year we've launched four new trends which will appeal in different ways to different people, ranging from classic to contemporary and Luxe glamour. Although they are different I love that they can be mixed and matched too across the different ranges.
All I Want For Christmas is very traditional and classic. It's about everything we love at Christmas, from cooking and baking, food and drink, presents, getting wrapped up in cosy winter mittens and hats, the great outdoors and Christmas trees to all the classic characters and icons. It’s warm and tactile with a classic colour palette of red, green, and white.
Celestial is a very contemporary and sophisticated trend with a soft frosted palette, monochrome, silvers and greys, with accents of rose golds and soft greens. It's inspired by the night sky constellations and has a Nordic nod to winter trees and animals. Celestial is very close to what I have on my second tree, I love lots of the decorations in this trend and will definitely be adding to my tree this year with some of these fantastic pieces.
Avant Garde is highly decorative, luxe and fun with a rich jewelled colour palette and nods to art deco glamour with lots of feathers and sparkle. The characters are playful, with Santa and the reindeer living it up!
Santa Jaws shows Santa having fun with his underwater friends. Anything goes in this trend – including Santa as a merman and lots of bright and wonderful sea creatures.
It’s hard to pick a favourite from the collections as I love lots of the new products, but I love this red and white bedding as it feels very stylish and new, but still has all the classic traditions of Christmas.
Another stand-out product is these beautiful gold cone crackers – they're stunning and will bring a special touch to any Christmas table.
We work a long way ahead of launch and our teams are looking at Christmas 2020 as we speak, so it's already in full flight! I don’t want to say too much but we do have some very exciting new colour palettes, festive decorations and home products coming up that will be more magical than ever, so watch this space!
