Our Online Toys Buyer Adeel Hussain picks the toys he thinks children will love to unwrap at Christmas

We were one of the first supermarkets to offer a great quality pre-school wooden toy range at affordable prices. Now we've added even more choice and updated some of our most popular designs.

Our wooden dolls' houses and kitchens are always hugely popular. This year we've modernised the designs to make them look more contemporary and reflect trends across the market.

Traditional wooden toys that encourage role play are as popular as ever with both boys and girls. Parents like buying them because they can remember playing with similar toys as children. The majority of our packaging and products are gender neutral so they have broad appeal.

Fashion dolls' house (£70) We've already sold out once this year but don't worry, there's more stock on the way.

Mini fashion dolls' house (£55) - I really like this item. The brilliant thing about this is that from a scale point of view it's very similar to the LOL Surprise House. A lot of children want the LOL Surprise branded dolls and they will be really happy to get this on Christmas Day.

Foldaway kitchen (£50) - We introduced the foldaway kitchen last Christmas and it's been really popular. Not everyone has space in their home to have a toy kitchen up all the time so this is a great option if you have limited space. One of my nephews has got a wooden kitchen on his Christmas list so I'll be getting this for him. (Pictured top)

Sushi set (£10) - New this year, we thought it would be fun to try something a bit different. It was inspired by the Sushi concessions we've been trialling in some of our stores and follows the trend that people are experimenting with different foods.

Princess castle (£90) This has been really popular and we're expecting even more people to ask for this once they've seen Frozen 2 at the cinema!

All of our wooden toys are made from sustainably-sourced wood and bear the FSC mark. This means the wood used is from well-managed forests and/or recycled sources. We've added the FSC logo to our wooden toy packaging this year to reassure customers who are concerned about the environment.
