Our customers love Christmas-specific homeware, whether bedding cushions or throws – the festive season is always a great excuse to buy something new!
As buyers we work really closely with our design teams. We have trends we follow every year and we’ll also look at new ideas and what worked well previously. We bring out four bedding ranges a year including our Christmas range to make sure our customers always have new designs to choose from.
Tartan bedding at Christmas is always popular – our customers absolutely love them! We like to have a new version every year, so for this Christmas we have a red tartan with matching red throw as well as a navy tartan.
We’ve added more winter duvets this year that aren’t Christmas-specific designs, like our pink and grey snowflake designs which look great with our snowflake pom-pom cushions.
In our easycare duvet range our new hedgehog design is proving really popular – he’s super cute! He’s also on matching cushions.
Last year we had a penguin design so this year we’ve built on this design by adding more arctic animals to the design including an arctic hare, polar bear and fox.
As well as stocking a wide range of bedding in store we also have some online exclusives. One of the most popular sets currently on George.com is our new sausage dog bedding with matching sausage dog cushion and throw – perfect for dog lovers! Another popular online exclusive is the red Scandi duvet set and there's also a matching throw and hot water bottle. And there’s a gingerbread family design which is really fun.
Our customers love our brushed cotton sets which are perfect to help you get cosy in the winter months. They’re made from 100% cotton, they’re really great quality and because they’re brushed during production they’re really soft and cosy.
We’ve recently introduced a fabric called “teddy” to the range which is warm and cosy and more like a blanket thickness. For the Christmas collection we have two duvet designs in teddy fabric with a matching teddy pom-pom throw – one in plain grey and one in grey and white fairisle.
Our novelty bedding is always popular so for Christmas we’ve taken inspiration from Christmas dinner and added a peas and carrots duvet design!
My personal favourite is the Christmas foliage design which is really fresh and vibrant and looks great paired with a matching throw and red and white cushion. It’s perfect for making your bedroom feel really Christmassy.
I also love the green trees design which isn’t just for Christmas – it has miniature fir trees on one side and little stars on the reverse.
