Three-year-old George is a home shopping delivery driver in the making
Three-year-old George Herbert loves wearing his Asda hi-vis jacket and name badge – so when home shopping driver Aaron Lincoln from our Queensferry store came to drop off his family's groceries he couldn't wait to put them on and get his photo taken with him.
George's mum, Riah-May, said: "George loves trucks and lorries so my mum Michelle, who has worked on the customer service desk at Asda Queensferry for decades, got him a toy George truck and an Asda home shopping truck.
"She got him the hi-vis jacket and the toy crates too. He's just become obsessed with the concept of food coming out of a delivery van. Every single time a shop comes he gets his hi-vis on and helps me unload the shopping.
"When he saw Aaron he went to get his hi-vis to show him and Aaron said 'wow, that's amazing' and asked if he wanted a photo by the van. He was made up, and told everyone about it afterwards."
She added: "With my mum working there Asda has always been part of our family. I'd always go in there on a Sunday with my dad to see my mum and I do that with my kids now. Every time we drive near the store on the A55 they'll shout 'Hey Nanny!"
Aaron, who's 32 and has worked at the store for five years, said: "When I delivered to George he was really pleased to see the Asda van turn up. He was really helpful in helping his mum unpack the shopping and has his very own Asda hi-vis waistcoat with his own name badge on. He looked really good.
"I offered to have a picture by the van with George as I could see how happy he was and wanted to inspire him. He wants to be an Asda delivery driver one day."
The store's community champion Jan Wilbraham said: "George is definitely a home shopping delivery driver in the making. How adorable."
