1Founded in 2012, this was originally called the Asda Sustain and Save Exchange. It is an online private community for our suppliers to collaborate and share best practice in sustainability and resource efficiency
2According to OPRL definitions of recyclable. 86.2% recyclable at kerbside, 4.7% recyclable at large stores.

4Surplus food was donated from our stores, depots and home offices. A meal can be defined as 420g of food, definition from WRAP.

Our Commitments

We stated our ambition to be a net-zero business in 2021, establishing a clear roadmap to achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions within our own operations by 2040. Building on our progress, we now intend to accelerate our efforts for greater impact. And we’ll keep you informed of our performance, achievements and challenges along the way.
