Asda Natural Resource Stewardship Strategy
The natural environment plays a critical role in sustaining life and supporting the production of our food system. Our Natural Resource Stewardship Strategy aims to drive a positive impact across water, biodiversity and soil. The natural environment is complex and interconnected, and making progress in these areas helps us also deliver our broader carbon and climate change programme.
The strategy aims to ensure we have a more sustainable and resilient value chain, driving a positive impact across key natural resources. The programme focuses on three key natural resources: Water, Biodiversity, and Soil.
The frameworks for managing nature related risks and dependencies continue to evolve. We have worked with Cambridge Institute of Sustainability leadership to develop guidance for our own business and our suppliers in meeting the standards like the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD).
