The new furry friend trend, taking social media and the animal lovers world by storm is Purrmaid purrrfect.

The leading supermarket chain Asda has seen a great reaction to its quirky new Purrmaid bedding set both through sales and customer feedback. Since launch George Home has sold over 150,000 units in the first week, making it George at Asda’s fastest selling bedding set EVER!

A cat lover and Asda shopper has even gone as far as having a tattoo on her leg inspired by the duvet cover. When Sophie Osborne, the 27-year-old designer saw the bedding in Asda’s Shoebury store and loved it so much that she decided to make it a permanent feature on her body!

Sophie Osborne, from Shoeburyness, Essex: "I wanted to get a fun portrait of my cat Chicken anyway and the purrmaid looked just like him face wise," she said. The 27-year-old's husband, Adam, said the inking was "purrfect".

Rachel Churnside, Buying Manager for George Home said: “Inspiration for the design came from one of our trend-focused supplierswho monitor social media and fashion trends. Knowing how much ourcustomer loves animals and novelty designs, we suspected this designwould be a hit.”
