Leicestershire-based George at Asda, the clothing division and the fashion brand of the national supermarket chain, has launched a limited edition t-shirt to celebrate the Premier League title win of Leicester City.
The t-shirt will be available exclusively in Leicester at just five stores, including: Abbey Lane, Oadby, Braunstone, Thurmaston and Hinckley.
To mark the fact that local football team, Leicester City FC are the newly crowned Premier League champions for 2016, a limited edition run of just 2,016 have been produced.
Priced at just £5.00, it will be available in sizes from small to XXL and the in the football club’s traditional blue and white colours.
George is one of the biggest employers in the East Midlands, with over 500 colleagues based at its Headquarters just south of the city of Leicester, at Lutterworth.
The new t-shirt was commissioned after Leicester City were crowned the new Premier League champions at the weekend, as locals go football crazy following the astonishing achievement of local heroes
A spokesperson from George at Asda, explains: “Our colleagues and our customers here in Leicestershire are immensely proud of the fantastic achievement of our local heroes, Leicester City with their historic Premier League win.
“After many nail-biting weeks of anticipation it is party time, so as local business looking to help celebrate, we’ve created a limited edition t-shirt that will be sold exclusively at stores in the home city of the 2016 Premier League title winners.”
