Asda invests £1.6m in new Milton Keynes store

New Asda Oakridge Park creates 47 new jobs

Asda is investing £1.6m in a new store in Oakridge Park in Milton Keynes, which will open in October.

The 10,000 square feet store will create 47 jobs across departments and roles including section leaders, the warehouse, bakery and other counters, customer service and administration.

Asda Oakridge Park will have a number of popular departments to offer Stantonbury shoppers including fresh produce, an express pizza counter, rotisserie, bakery and a selection of world foods.

The store will also cater for busy customers by providing a click and collect service where you can order your shopping online and collect at a point outside the store from your car. The store also features a food-to-go section with sandwiches, snacks and crisps for those looking to grab a quick bite while on the move.

Situated on Wolverton Road, close to the surrounding new housing developments and Oakridge Park Medical Centre, the new Asda store will have 149 free car parking spaces.

Matthew Hayes, store manager at Asda Oakridge Park, said: “We’re excited to bring Asda to this area of Milton Keynes and can’t wait to unveil our store to local shoppers in October. The store has been designed with the weekly shop in mind, and it’s our aim to make finding everything the family needs under one roof simple.”
