Asda Launches New Frozen Pimms Mix - Just in Time for Wimbledon

Asda Frozen for Freshness Summer Cup Mix

No summer – or Wimbledon – is complete without a jug of Pimms, and this summer, to help the nation enjoy their favourite fruity cocktail with ease, Asda has launched a frozen Pimms mix, removing the hassle of slicing and dicing, and the frustration of warm fruit, and giving more time to enjoy the sun.

Containing frozen cucumber, strawberries, spiced orange peel and mint, the new Frozen for Freshness Summer Cup Mix is perfect mixed with lemonade and a dash of Pimms throughout the British heatwave.

With the nation set for sun, the ready-made frozen kit ensures less time spent chopping cucumbers and slicing strawberries, with the summer mix ready-to-go straight from the freezer. Filled with juicy strawberries frozen for freshness, the fruit can also be used to keep drinks cool, without the need to constantly refresh due to melted ice cubes and a watery cocktail.

With Brits spending an average of £12* a jug when making homemade Pimms, thanks to the cost of the summer fruits, alcohol and lemonade needed to fill a 1.5L jug, the frozen mix is 85% cheaper, making it perfect for sipping throughout summer without a cocktail bar price tag.

Sarah Sharples, Asda’s frozen fruit product manager, comments: “When it comes to summer, our customers want products that allow them time to soak-up the sun as much as possible, so our new Frozen Summer Cup Mix is the perfect solution for the season. What’s more, Brits don’t have to worry about a watered-down drink, with the fruit replacing the need for ice, keeping glasses fresh, crisp and cool.

“With summer cocktails a must-have on everybody’s lists, we can make any summer occasion easier with our frozen solutions, turning everyday summer essentials into accessible, no-fuss fun.”

Asda’s new Frozen for Freshness Summer Cup Mix is available in-store and online now for £1.75, with the packs dropping to £1.60 from Thursday 28 June.
