Following the significant refresh investment into Asda Patchway, the store has now unveiled a brand new sushi counter as its latest in-store addition, which is a first for the retailer.
The counter is operated by Sushi Daily, which has an open kitchen offering a unique experience for Asda shoppers: freshly made, convenient food with the excitement of watching it being skilfully prepared in front of you.
The Sushi Daily counter has trained chefs and a team of Sushi Artisans who expertly transform beautiful whole salmon into perfectly rolled sushi.
Shoppers can choose from over one hundred sushi products and even order big sharing platters to be freshly made whilst they shop.
Matt Dodd, Store Manager at Asda Patchway, said: “We’re proud to be the first Asda store in the country to have the introduction of a sushi counter, it’s one of the many brand new and exciting features available in store after our major refresh and is already proving popular with customers.”
Daniel Coole, Managing Director of Sushi Daily, said: "We are very excited to collaborate with Asda, bringing their customers a new, engaging experience and delicious, handcrafted sushi – it’s a fantastic opportunity for us all"
Sushi Daily’s menu has something for everyone, including fish, meat and vegetarian options. Traditional sushi choices include salmon sashimi or tuna nigiri and the Spicy Salmon Crunch Roll is a favourite among the more adventurous.
Look out for the ‘Asda Exclusive’ sticker on a range of products specially developed to tempt Asda customers.
The Teriyaki Chicken Classic Roll starts at £2.00 – the perfect sushi snack for one. For an exciting lunch choice, the Tokyo Menu includes cooked and raw fish sushi for £5.90.
We’ve also got an Asda exclusive range; the twenty-piece Hachi Menu has four types of sushi for £10.90 – perfect for sharing.
