Chomping at the Bit…Asda Launches New Shark Cake for Summer

Inspired by THAT familiar shark song sung by children and parents up and down the UK, Asda has launched a NEW Shark Cake, guaranteed to go down swimmingly this summer.

Serving 18 and available for £11 from 8th April, sweet raspberry jam is layered between madeira sponge and covered with coloured icing, edible mouth and eyes and completed by a tasty dorsal fin.

Sarah Burns, Asda bakery expert said: “For children celebrating a birthday or special occasion this summer, who may be obsessed with a certain baby shark, we hope this cake makes their day even more memorable.

“We see a growing demand for animal cakes each year and love being able to create our customers’ favourites in cake form”.

In addition to the Shark Cake, Asda is also introducing the Bumble Bee Cake and the Narwhal Cake to its celebration cakes range, all launching on 8th April.
