Asda has announced the latest launch from its Christmas food range, combining pigs in blankets with a luxurious red Leicester and sweet chilli dip - and it hits shelves this week.

Everyone’s festive favourite is back on the menu in time for Christmas and Asda has made the humble pig in blanket better than ever. The supermarket’s latest launch, Extra Special Pigs in Blankets with Red Leicester and Sweet Chilli Fondue, is a stunning party centrepiece combining top quality sausages wrapped in bacon with a silky smooth cheese dip.

Priced at £5 for 408g, the showstopping centrepiece is perfect for the Christmas dinner table, or to serve up at a Christmas party this year.

If you prefer your pigs in blankets without the cheese dip, Asda also has this covered with its Extra Special Ultimate Pig in Blanket. The product is proving popular so far, with a recent post on Facebook from New Foods UK receiving over 1,000 comments in just a few hours, with one user commenting “That’s Christmas dinner sorted!”.
