Cheese don’t go! Asda launches plant-based Christmas Cheeseboard alternative, so vegans can enjoy the after-dinner indulgence, too
Those following a plant-based diet can still enjoy the tradition of a Christmas cheeseboard, with Asda’s vegan-friendly alternative - in stores and available online now for just £5.
Asda is delighted to offer customers following a vegan lifestyle, or those simply looking to avoid dairy, the chance to partake in the after-dinner savoury indulgence this year with its Plant-Based Cheeseboard.
The vegan cheeseboard is revealed as a festive extension of Asda’s existing dairy-free cheese offering and includes portions of four cheese alternatives; a Blue Cheese Alternative, Mature Cheddar Alternative, Cranberry Wensleydale Alternative, and a party-starting Jalapeno & Chilli Cheddar Alternative that has been newly developed for Asda.
A proudly inclusive retailer, Asda was recently named Vegan Retailer of The Year at the 2021 Quality Food Awards. The prestigious ‘Q’ awards are renowned throughout the industry for their rigorous and stringent judging process, with a variety of respected food experts making up the panel of judges.
An Asda spokesperson comments; “Christmas is a time to embrace togetherness and we don’t want anyone to miss out on moments of indulgence, whatever their dietary requirements may be. We have worked incredibly hard with our dairy-free and vegan cheese supplier to bring customers what we believe is a delicious alternative to the traditional cheeseboard this festive season.”
