That’s Christmas dinner sorted! Asda launches its 20p veg offer as fresh turkeys also hit the shelves

Whether you’re a sprout supporter or just partial to a parsnip, Asda has announced the launch of its 20p veg offer for 2021. The deal goes live on the 18th December and sees various Christmas dinner staples reduced to just 20p, while Asda has also revealed fresh turkeys will hit its shelves on the 19th December.

Shoppers will be able to get huge discounts on selected produce lines as they prepare for the big day. For those planning a Christmas day feast, kilogram bags of Asda Growers Selection Carrots are included in the offer, as are 500g bags of sprouts and parsnips. Unlike many other retailers offering similar deals, Asda has also included broccoli on its 20p veg selection, meaning shoppers will be able to stock up on plenty of veg to fill plates on the big day.

Shamma Mohammed, Category Planning Manager for Produce at Asda, said: “Our aim at this time of year is always to help our customers make Christmas extra special. We know how much hard work goes into shopping for everything for the Christmas day feast, so this offer means customers needn’t worry about price – we’ve got it covered.”

As the countdown begins in the final week before Christmas day, Asda’s fresh turkeys will also land on shelves on Sunday 19th December, providing shoppers with everything they need to make their festive season extra special. Some of Asda’s fresh turkey products launching on the 19th include:

• Asda Extra Special Free Range & Corn Fed Stuffed Turkey Crown - £17 per kg, typically 2kg (Good Housekeeping’s joint best roast in the bag turkey crown)

• Asda Extra Special Hasselback Turkey with Smoked Honey Butter & Pork and Chestnut Stuffing topped with Sage and Shallot Crumb - £20 (1.67kg)

• Asda Extra Special Norfolk Bronze Medium Turkey (Typically 4.75kg) - £ £28.03 (£5.90 per kg)

• Asda British Basted Turkey Crown (Typically 2.5kg) - £17.37 (£6.95/kg)

• Asda Large British Basted Turkey Crown (Typically 4kg) - £27.80 (£6.95/kg)

For those preferring to order online, Asda has slots remaining ahead of Christmas day. Slots from the 19th-21st December are currently still available, but customers will need to be quick if they want to snag a one ahead of the big day.
