Asda’s novelty Bruce the Brussels Sprout range is back and better than ever
Brussels sprouts may already be the Marmite of the Christmas dinner table but Asda has taken it one step further and launched a new Brussels Sprout Cheddar.
The new cheese, part of Asda’s festive Bruce the Brussels Sprout Range, has appeared on multiple Facebook groups including the likes of BooHoo.com and Tastecard, drumming up thousands of comments and reactions from social media users.
On a Facebook post from Newfoods.co.uk, one user commented: “As if brussels sprouts aren’t bad enough! Don’t expect me to get this gift for you!”. However, hundreds are keen on the new flavour with one user saying: “We need this for our next cheese and wine night” and another adding “Tried it today! Really not a strong taste of sprouts, just a hint, which is enough! It's not bad actually”.
Beyond the Sprout Cheddar, Asda’s Bruce the Brussels Sprout range this year includes a huge range of novelty products, from Bruce and Betty celebration cakes to festive mallow lollies and a giant sharing cookie.
So, whether shoppers are in the market for a giant iced cookie tasty chocolate mini roll or even a scoop of gorgeously green ice cream (not sprout flavoured!), the retailer is offering something to make Christmas “Sprout-actular” for everyone this year.
