No April fools here! Asda reveals incredible wine offer ahead of Easter weekend
The supermarket brings back its popular ‘Buy 6 or more, Save 25%’ deal on bottles of wine.
- Asda has revealed a ‘Buy 6, Save 25%’ offer across ALL bottles of wine priced at £4.75 and above*
- The offer is available 1st – 18th April while stocks last, in stores and online.
Friday 1st April 2022: For many, 1st April may be a day to anticipate – or inflict! - pranks and practical jokes, but Asda shoppers can expect white wines over white lies, as the supermarket reveals that its popular 25% off deal on bottles of wine is back.
Valid from 1st April until Friday 18th April, all bottles of wine priced at £4.75 or more are included in the ‘Buy 6’ offer, meaning shoppers can stock up whilst making fantastic savings. Shoppers will receive 25% off the total cost of all six (or more) bottles, which may see wines cost less than £5 per bottle.
The deal can be used to ‘mix and match’ or purchase six of the same variety, and whilst customers must buy at least six bottles to qualify for the discount, wines thereafter will be discounted too – with no requirement for bottles to be purchased in multiples of six only.
Ideal for those hosting Easter Bank Holiday gatherings or people looking to stock up ahead of the Jubilee celebrations, the offer can also be used for selected wines that are on rollback, meaning shoppers can get reduced prices, plus the 25% off – making for huge savings.
Amongst the branded bottles included in the offer are a Mud House Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc (was £9, currently on rollback for £8 and just £6 in the ‘Buy 6’ offer) and Mud House Sauvignon Blanc Rosé (was £8.70, currently on rollback for £7.50 and just £5.63 in the ‘Buy 6’ offer), along with a rich and creamy, Jam Shed Chardonnay (usually £7, on rollback for £6 and just £4.50 if purchased as part of the ‘Buy 5’ offer).
The increasingly popular 19 Crimes Red Wine (usually £9, currently on rollback for £7 or just £5.25 with the ‘Buy 6’ offer) will also be available - and saving customers £22.50 - if they were to purchase six of this particular wine.
Several of Asda’s most premium Extra Special own brand bottles of wine will also be on offer, including the Extra Special Vouvray Chenin Blanc (usually £7.25) and Extra Special Chilean Pinot Noir (was £6.50, currently on rollback for £6 or just £4.50 with the ‘Buy 6’ offer).
For those looking for a little fizz, the Freixenet Italian Sparkling Rosé makes for the perfect stand-out bottle for special celebrations. Whilst the Freixenet was £12, it is currently on rollback for £9, which reduces to just £6.75 per bottle if shoppers purchase six bottles if the Italian sparkling wine - saving a whopping £31.50 in total.
Sean Aitken, Buying Manager – Wine at Asda, commented: “2022 brings with it many reasons to celebrate and indulge in a tipple or two, so we’re as excited as ever to bring back this offer for our customers. Whether shoppers look to stock up on their favourite bottles or take the chance to try new, world class varieties, there’s something for everyone on this deal and incredible savings to be had.”
