To help shoppers navigate healthy eating this January, Asda announces the launch of its new 45+ product strong Health Menu range. Starting at just 75p, the tasty new range brings simplicity back to healthy eating, with colourful, nutritious dishes sure to brighten grey winter days.

Created by Asda’s in-house nutritionist and expert chef team, the Health Menu range is full of satisfying, nourishing and energising meals. Each product is labelled with a specific health benefit, helping customers know exactly why it’s good for them. Whether it’s skin health, gut health, or bone health, the benefit is signposted clearly on product packaging in a way that’s simple for shoppers to understand.

Making it easier than ever to whip up healthy, delicious meals at home, Asda’s new Health Menu range includes four one-pan scratch-cooking kits containing everything shoppers need to make a balanced, home-cooked meal. At less than £2.50 per serving, customers can choose from the Smoky Chicken & Chorizo Paella (£4.75), Fruity Moroccan-Style Chicken Pilaf (£4.75), Sticky Beef Teriyaki Noodles (£4.75) or Butternut Squash Linguine (£4.75) – great for date nights at home.

Perfect for speedy midweek dinners, the Smoky Chicken, Chickpea and Red Pepper Burgers (£2.50) and Flavoursome Chicken & Greens Chipolatas (£3) are low in saturated fat and a brilliant way to sneak some extra goodness past veg-avoidant little ones. Packed with peas, spinach, green pesto, kale and mozzarella, the gluten free sausages are a source of protein, whilst the burgers are packed full of red peppers, chickpeas and courgettes.

Great for a nutritious lunch on the go, the range also features four power pots for shoppers to choose from. The Smoky Beef Chilli Pot (£2.50) makes for a hearty winter lunch, with tender beef mince in a smoky tomato sauce over a mix of brown rice, bulgur wheat and quinoa. Topped with butternut squash, peppers, and spinach, it’s sure to warm the cockles on a cold day, whilst the veg-packed Spicy Chicken Arrabbiata Pot (£2.50) is a great source of vitamin C and zinc – ideal for supporting immune function through the colder months.

For shoppers looking for a quick lunch on a shoestring, Asda’s new range of Health Menu soups starts at just 75p, with three flavours to choose from – from Warming Mexican Style Chicken and Bean (75p) to Aromatic Spiced Chickpea and Spinach Soup (75p). Packed full of pulses and vegetables, they make a great choice for those who are short on time but looking to up their veg intake.

For a heartier meal that can be prepared in minutes, there are eight delicious health bowls for shoppers to sample. Perfect for those who enjoy a little heat, the Fiery Jerk Chicken Bowl (£3.50) is sure to tingle the tastebuds, with roasted chicken breast tossed in a spiced pineapple sauce and served on a bed of brown rice, black turtle and red kidney beans. Or why not try the Fragrant Thai Red Chicken Curry with Mixed Grains (£3.50)? With chicken breast, choi sum, sweetcorn and edamame beans in an aromatic cream and coconut sauce, it’s deliciously rich and creamy.

Ensuring shoppers have healthy options for every meal, Asda’s new range also includes ready-prepared frozen smoothie mixes that shoppers can whip up in minutes. The Zesty Mango, Pineapple and Ginger Smoothie Mix (£4) is a great way to kickstart a morning, with sweet frozen mango, pineapple and banana, zesty lime and ginger and immune-boosting turmeric. For a balanced breakfast, why not try the Health Menu Crunchy Multiseed Berry and Nut Granola (£2.25)? Great for gut health, with toasted cereal clusters, wholegrain oats, mixed seeds, almonds, raisins, sweet freeze-dried oats and quinoa, it’s the perfect accompaniment to a refreshing smoothie.

Asda’s new Health Menu range includes products across the retailer’s frozen, chilled, bakery, food-to-go and meat, fish and poultry categories. So whether it’s ready-to-eat grain packs, nut and seed granolas or frozen smoothie mixes, with Asda’s Health Menu range shoppers can eat well without spending a fortune.
