For customers looking to find high quality wines at affordable prices, Asda’s ‘save a third or more’ offer on Champagne, prosecco, white, red and rosé wine includes award-winning champagne at the market-leading price of just £9.99.

Exclusive to Asda, the award-winning Louvel Fontaine Champagne Brut (was £18, now £9.99) has been recognised for both quality and value, winning Bronze at the Decanter World of Wine Awards 2024 and this December being named Great Value by Which?.

Asda’s Senior Manager for Wine Sourcing, Clive Donaldson, describes the champagne as, “well balanced and fruity, with flavours of citrus and vanilla” and recommends pairing it with smoked salmon or roast turkey.

A customer favourite too, the much-loved champagne has an average of 4.5 star reviews on asda.com with comments including, “My guests agreed that it was one of the best champagnes we had ever tasted” and “For the price, it's truly outstanding!” and “I have tasted quite a few champagnes and this is one of my absolute favourites. It’s light & fresh. No acidic aftertaste. Love it! Amazing price.”

Other wines in the offer include, but are not limited to:

  • Extra Special Châteauneuf-du-Pape (was £17.50, now £10.99) – one of the most popular premium red wines at Christmas and a Decanter Bronze and IWC Silver 2024 award winner. Created from a blend of grapes in the southern Rhône, it’s a characteristically rich and powerful wine from one of the region's top producers. Rich sumptuous red cherry and dried fruit flavours, with hints of earth and herbs for a long gentle, spicy finish. It’s the perfect choice for those having gammon for Christmas.

  • Extra Special Asti (was £7, now £4.66) – a Decanter Bronze and IWSC Bronze 2024 award winner, this classic sweet sparkling wine from the town of Asti in Italy’s Piedmont region will pair perfectly with a fresh and fruity Christmas dessert.

  • Extra Special Sancerre (was £16, now £10.50) – a Decanter Silver, IWC Bronze and IWSC Bronze 2024 award winner, this is an elegant and stylish Sauvignon Blanc from the famous town of Sancerre. This classic example has layers of fresh lemon, grapefruit and gooseberry with a hint of minerality. It drinks beautifully on its own or pairs perfectly with smoked salmon starters or a post-dinner cheeseboard.

  • Extra Special Chablis (was £13, now £8.50) – this wine hails from the small village of Chablis in Burgundy. The wine style is a fascinating balance between the weight of Chardonnay kept lively and exciting by the refreshing acidity running through it. These characters make it a superb food wine, particularly for smoked salmon.

  • 19 Crimes Red Wine (was £9.50, now £6.33) – customers can find this popular brand at a market-leading price at Asda this Christmas and New Year. It’s rich and round with a soft fruity finish and notes of chocolate. One customer review on asda.com says, “If you find the perfect red, stick with it! 19 Crimes ticks all my boxes!”
