Asda reveals festive food range as customer searches for Christmas on the retailer’s website are up 220% YOY.
It’s all about traditional tastes and gorgeous grazing tables this Christmas season, with cheese not just reserved for the cheeseboard.
The retailer’s brand-new signature flavour for Christmas 2024 is a delicious Fig, Whisky and Spiced Honey.

As the temperature drops and an undeniably autumnal feeling sweeps the UK, shoppers are starting to get excited about the festive months ahead. Asda has seen a whopping 220% increase in Christmas searches on its website this week, compared to the same week last year.

On the back of this demand, Asda has unveiled some of the heroes from its Christmas food and drink range and identified the trends set to grace our dining tables this festive season.

The range of over 500 lines includes a line-up of twists on family favourites and exciting innovation – sure to blow the (Santa) socks off even the most discerning Christmas dinner guests this year.

A focus on amazing taste at excellent value is the foundation of this year’s range, with three trends captured and a brand-new signature flavour for 2024.

Traditional Tastes

If elevated comfort food is your go-to at Christmas time, Asda’s brand-new Exceptional Bone in Beef Pie should be atop your shopping list. This rich indulgent pie sees an all-butter pastry case filled with slow cooked Aberdeen Angus Beef, caramelised onions, mushrooms and oak-smoked bacon and salsa Truffina. Finished with a decorative marrow bone – set to be a favourite this Christmas.

Party and Grazing

For a more modern take on festive feasting, Asda has unveiled an impressive range of party food to suit all tastes. With Asda’s Fantastic Grazing Board and Charcuter-wreath options, there’s plenty of opportunity for shoppers to put on a showstopping spread. Both products offer DIY kits to get creative in the kitchen, offering delicious charcuterie and cheese board classics without breaking the bank!

Customers can also expect a new flair to festive party food with a variety of products inspired by global cuisine, including the Exceptional Butter Chicken Samosas, Exceptional Prawn & Veg Dim Sum and Exceptional Tempura Prawns.

Immersive experiences

For those looking to offer guests the ultimate Christmas indulgence, Asda has revealed the Exceptional Sirloin Steak with Wyke Farm Vintage Cheddar Bake. Simply gather your loved ones to enjoy an apres-ski experience at home, serving up the succulent 30-day matured sirloin steak accompanied by a creamy Wyke Farm Vintage Cheddar Bake in a standout dish. For extra hosting points, serve with fondue forks!

Alternatively, the Exceptional Pigs in Blankets Wreath with Camembert and Hot Honey Drizzle is ideal for sharing with friends or family. This gooey French Camembert is surrounded by pork cocktail sausages each wrapped in oak-smoked streaky bacon and topped with festive rosemary sprigs. Sold with a sachet of hot honey for decadent drizzling.

Signature flavour

Asda’s innovation team has devised a brand-new flavour concept for 2024 - Fig, Whisky and Spiced Honey, which features in 16 of the retailer’s new festive products this year.
