As well as traditional hot cross buns and classic chocolate eggs, Easter isn't complete without tasty bakery treats (especially for little ones).

This year Asda can offer fun treats, with Easter characters Charli The Chick and Patch The Bunny running across the bakery and chocolate range - delicious additions for parties and fun activities throughout the holiday.

Customers are already loving the range, with comments across social media saying, “we need all of this for Easter Sunday” and “this is perfect for an Easter party!”

Introducing Patch the Bunny and Charli the Chick

New for 2024, customers are loving the Patch the Bunny Carrot Cake (£6) - a deliciously spiced carrot cake with creamy soft cheese frosting, with reviews saying, “lovely carrot cake and super cute - kids absolutely loved it!”. Perfect for hungry bunnies is the Patch the Bunny & Friend Chocolate Log (£7) - scrummy chocolate rolls with smooth buttercream filling.

Serving 15 and working out at just over 40p per serve, the
Patch the Bunny Chocolate Traybake (£7) is a rich sponge topped with chocolate frosting, finished with sweet Easter decorations. Another party-pleaser costing just 40p per bun, Patch the Bunny 15 Mini Cupcakes (£6) are cute cupcakes topped with chocolate, lemon and vanilla flavour frostings, finished with sugar carrots, sprinkles and patch's smiling face.

Asda’s Easter characters also run across the chocolate offering. Rated by BBC Good Food as a joint winner of ‘Best Children's Egg’ category,
Charli the Chick Belgian White Chocolate (£4.50) is described as “impressive quality – rich, creamy and sweet” and can attest that “kids will love this sweet white chocolate egg with a cute chick design.” If milk chocolate is preferred, Patch the Bunny Belgian Milk Chocolate (£4.50) would be the perfect sweet treat for any bunny-lovers this Easter.

Making up an impressive Free From range, the
Free from Patch the Bunny Tin (£3.50) is a bunny-shaped tin full of gluten, milk and egg free chocolate coated raisins and assorted fruit flavour jellybeans – a Free From Easter Award Silver 2024 winner. The Free From Choc Patch the Bunny (£3.50) is rated 4.5/5 stars online by Asda customers, with one review saying, “lovely for my grandson, who is lactose intolerant”.

Asda’s Product Development Manager for Confectionary, Sarah Burns and Ellie Beecham, Assistant Own Brand Manager, say “We created these cheeky friends for our customers to fall in love with at Easter, as we know that characters bring the joy for kids (and parents) when shopping for their holiday chocolate and sweet treats. Asda’s range has with something for all the family to enjoy - from giftable tins and plush toys, to traybakes and lollies.”
